CORRESPONDENCE COURSE – HOW TO DO IT
The course consists of nine modules and approximately 500 pages of detailed notes on the disciplines which Wicca embraces. You should spend at least a week on the set of practical homework exercises at the end of each module, before moving on to the next one. In parallel with this, you should be doing the Guided Meditation pertaining to each module daily for that week, before moving on to the next one. The Guided Meditations have been designed as a journey and each one works with the other practical work and the discipline you are studying during that time. The course is intensive and can be life-changing, and many students have grown and blossomed spiritually and in self awareness through it. But, like all things in life, what you put in is what you get out of it, so your journey with it will be according to your own efforts.
There are two written homework assignments pertaining to Module Two (Sacred Celebrations), and I do expect students to get creative with these, and to post me their projects rather than email them, as you can include story boards, vision boxes, scrap-booked rituals, etc. Get involved with the Sabbat you choose, and if you are able to, perform the ritual you designed at that Sabbat.
The two and a half hour open book exam is not compulsory, but I do not award certificates to students who choose not to do it. The purpose of the exam is so that I can rest assured that you have assimilated and understood the teachings. Correspondence students are asked to time themselves while doing it (the Goddess is watching! ;)
If you do the course by correspondence, there is no time limit on completing it, and you can do it at your own pace, and let me know when you are ready to write the exam. Take it slowly and nurture your growth, but try not to lose momentum!
As a member of the Celestine Circle, you also go onto the emailing list and have the opportunity to join the closed Facebook Group, the Celestine Circle of Southern Africa, where news, views and photos are exchanged.
In the meantime, if you are on FaceBook, please go to the open group “Pagan Public Events KZN” and have a look at some of the Celestine Circle gathering photos there.
We hold open Sabbat Circles for each Sabbat in the Durban area, and the Circle has a weekend away together each year (usually in the Drakensberg).
See forthcoming EVENTS for more info.
